Shy Girl Vibes

A shy girl with a blog

Night owls or morning people are two different teams. There’s always somehow a discussion about it. Some people ask why do you like morning so much what’s wrong with you? Then there are the morning people asking how do you stay up so late? How come you’re never tired? Are you ok?.

It’s two different sides with two different options and there’s also this small fight and talk about which one is better. Now I have been in some of those conversations and people have asked me are you a morning person or a night owl and every time I answered I said, morning person. I hated the fact of actually having to wake up early but at the same time I loved it. I know it probably doesn’t make any sense.

But for the past years, I truly believed that I was a morning person and didn’t have a single thought about being a night owl. Till I started writing more. Now at first I could write at any time of the day and my writing would be amazing and I also loved writing at any time. But as the years went on writer’s block hit and depression and well just my creative side did not want to talk to me.

This is truly how I feel sometimes

I still wrote no matter what. It was tough, and some of my writing was pure trash but I kept going cause the thought of giving up was a no-go. However, I started wondering when was the best time to write. When I wrote In The Shadows it was at 8am ish. So I started writing super early. I mean writing after I ate breakfast and watched whatever show then I would write. That worked out for about a week and then the same thing was happening again.

I was truly confused about what was going on because again I love writing so me hating the fact of doing it or that the stories are awful just doesn’t make sense. I kinda forgot about the whole writing time thing and just wrote when I felt like it. So I started writing a lot of my blog posts during the night and I didn’t think anything of it at all.

Then I had this one client that ordered off me and this story was different from any other story. I wrote a whole different genre so I was scared of writing it and the fact that the writer’s block was hitting badly. So I started writing it during the day. I hated the fact that I had to write and I didn’t wanna do it and my creative side again was not talking to me. Then night time came around and all my ideas started to flow.

By ideas I mean these characters went from crossing a bridge to flinging off a dragons tail. It’s like my creative mind had all of these ideas and I had to write them down. That’s what happened with my other stories and blog posts my ideas would just flow during the night.

I even asked some other writers if this happened to them and a lot agreed. I have no idea why this happens. In a way it does suck because I do have a deadline so having to wait till night to write can be stressful.

Now does this technically go into the fact of being a night owl? I wanna say yes and just due to the fact that I love night time. Now, will I still call myself a morning person? Probably even though I’m not. But I’m gonna continue to write and make up the weirdest stories because that’s what I love to do and when my creative mind won’t talk to me I will go and watch friends.

Will admit I only wanted this photo cause it was cute
