Its 2022 and so much has changed over the years. From buying DVDs to streaming movies and shows anywhere on pretty much any device. Phones are getting bigger again for some reason and technology is growing and well getting better compared to twenty years ago. That’s what happens in todays world and what happens in life. Things change and they get better or sometimes they get worse. Sometimes I question change but its a shrug of a shoulder and move on.
Like I said change is good for the most part and it can improve the world and the way things work which is good because our world at this moment is not doing so good as it should. Sometimes when things change we wonder why they wanted to change it why couldn’t they have done something else instead of doing what they did.
In 1973 women fought for the right of abortions for our choice because it is our body and not theirs. Women, Women of colour have fought for decades trying to get equal rights equal pay and so much more. For some reason White men or men think our body is theirs which means they get a choice of what happens to it… Sounds awful..
1973 Roe v Wade came into the picture and abortions were now legalized which was great news and now women had power and choice of their bodies. Great that is literally great and for years people have said NO ABORTIONS and others said YES to abortions because kids are money and time and even love and some cant give that. Or rape is involved and a women doesn’t want to have her rapist child because who would?
Its now 2022 and like I said things that have so much and it has been good change. Its now legal in Canada and US and in other countries that the same sex can get married. They are putting laws in oceans and other places so that animals life is protected which again is great. But then some very big people decided they want to ban abortions again…
So much change has happened and the one thing women have fought for, for so long they want to change back. That is when change turns scary and makes you think what the actual fuck are they thinking. 2022 and they are once again trying to take away womens choices and rights and the thought of what should happen with their body. Even now besides the whole abortion thing when women no longer want to have kids and go to the doctor to do whatever surgery may be best to stop that they have to get a signed signature from their husband in order to do something to their own body and women who are young and single doctors say “What about your future husband who wants to have kids” The man who has control of her body she doesnt even know yet.
Its just so weird and as 20 year old women its terrifying to know that these big people are turning things over. Its 2022 and it seems things are just going backwards when we should be going forwards. I am only so young and the thought for the future of what can be changed and revised is no longer something I am excited about because Whatever Americans do Canada seems to always follow in their footsteps.
As for writing this blog post. A shooting at an elementary school has happened in Texas, 21 dead, 19 children who didn’t even have their elementary school gradation and 2 teachers. Hm. Change is looking awful at this very moment.
