Shy Girl Vibes

A shy girl with a blog

The overnight success stories. We always hear them.

We hear how they posted a youtube video of them singing or just a youtube video of them doing whatever or posting a video on Tik Tok or a video on the good ole vine. They talk about how they just posted a video and it blew up. They went from nothing to millions of followers. Even this author I was following who now has three movies on Netflix. I adore her so much but as her story goes she posted her story on Wattpad and before you knew it Netflix wanted to make it a movie and she blew up.

Hearing those stories are honestly some of the funniest and greatest stories. Just a simple video changed their life. It’s inspiring and most of all it’s a happy feeling their dream came true. As the years go on especially with Tik Tok a lot of people are blowing up overnight whether that’s their voice or their funny or they have a storytime about their cheating boyfriend. But whatever Tik Tok it is some people happen to blow up.

I’m getting to the point I promise.

I talked a couple of blogs back about chasing your dreams and how exhausting it is because I never saw people talking about it ever. It was always rainbows and butterflies and a few stories of the struggles of chasing your dream.

However the other day me and a friend were on facetime and we were talking about social media and talking about how we are both chasing our dreams and how hard it is and exhausting and then we brought up the overnight success stories. How we always heard them left and right but we never heard the stories of days the months or even years it took for them to be where they are. (Nowadays not years ago from Artists and stuff)

It got me thinking that night and well I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I mean I was tired of all these people say “Oh yeah I blew up overnight” I was happy for them but I was tired of it. I wanted to hear the people who worked for hours. Woke up early. Stayed up late. I want to hear the time where they wanted to give up because they saw no future. Yeah, it sounds dark it does. But those are the stories that help get me going. Even artists whether that’s a singer or a rapper talked about how hard chasing their dream was.

The stories that took people months or years always motivate me than the ones who blew up overnight. Because it shows yeah you may not be where you want right now but if you work hard and do what you gotta do you might just be where you want in the years to come and that right there is great advice.

I hope the people reading this chase their dreams and I hope that you don’t get unmotivated or want to give up because your plan that was supposed to happen is not happening at that very moment. Chasing your dream unfortunately is hard work and takes a hell of a time to happen.

The best advice or saying I can say is that

The struggles you have now. The hard work. The late nights and smack in the middle of chasing your dreams is the time you will look back and see all the hard work you did to be where you are now.
